We started meeting for bible study about a year ago in my garage. We started with four men who remain faithful to this day. While our growth may not seem significant to some, it is most significant to us. Just last Sunday we had six in attendance with two regulars unable to join us.
In our first year, we have distributed close to 100 Hope for the Highway Bibles and tracts. On May 17, we partnered with the Warrior Appreciation Rally (WAR) providing parking assistance at the Cameron Veteran’s Home and water and bible distribution at Worth Harley Davidson. About 105 bikes made the ride from Worth Harley Davidson in Tiffany Springs to Cameron.
June 14th, Teresa and I partnered with the Leland “Taco” Garrison Poker Run which began in Platte City. The ride was to benefit Connor Miller, a 5 year old boy in the process of kicking cancer’s butt. We donated a t shirt quilt in memory of Taco. It auctioned for $340. This year I was asked to bless the bikes and bikers.
On July 12, we will have our Second Annual Fish Fry and Ride at God’s Mountain in Rushville, MO. Kickstands up at 10:30 am for the river ride. Fish Fry at noon. This event is open to the public. Mark Mayo is our guest speaker. Big Jim J is our cook. Larry (Uncle Fuzz) is our road captain.
On July 30th, the Bluff’s Biker Church will be present at the St. Joseph Association of Baptist Churches Office to support and send off the MBBF mission team. The SJBA and Baptist Student Union will be grilling up some eats. At this time, Larry (Uncle Fuzz) and his wife, Flora, and Teresa and I will join the mission team in St. Joseph.
